Surgery Nurse #1, Female, 50s, Black SCENE: You’re a nurse walking the hospital halls, headed to a patient room. On the way, you pass one of your FAVORITE patients, Mrs. James, walking the hallway with her son as she recovers from cardiac surgery. You’ve spent hours chatting with her at this point and know each other pretty well—she’s more like a friend. In fact, you both loved dancing in your younger years and have bonded over that.
